April has an MBA with an emphasis in International Business from St. Louis University and a Master Certificate in Business Communication from Harvard.
From a young age (probably 7 or 8) she wanted to own a business, two in fact. It was her dream to own a Chuck E. Cheese and a 7-Eleven. She loved both places as a kid (and still loves Slurpees).
She started her first official business in 2016, an event rental company, that she was later able to sell just before the shutdowns of 2020...
She sometimes thinks the entrepreneurial urge is genetic: One grandfather owned two motels and, like most entrepreneurs, dabbled in other ventures. Another grandfather owned a snow cone route (think ice-cream truck but snow cones only) and a commercial cleaning business cleaning strip malls in the morning before they opened.
She loves traveling, spending time near water, cooking, and making sure women thrive.
Fun-ish fact:
The "W" and the "P" in "WP Consulting Group," come from her grandfather's initials. He was one of the most important men to ever walk into her life. He was a Veteran and a cattle farmer- you can't get much tougher than that. Not only in the name, but WP Consulting Group's logo (red poppy flower) also pays homage to this hero.
